Meet Dr. Kihiczak

Dr. George Gregory Kihiczak, Board-Certified Dermatologist

George Gregory Kihiczak, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist with more than fifteen years of experience caring for patients in the New York metropolitan area. Known for his warm bedside manner and meticulous attention to detail, he combines academic medicine with a truly personalized, first-class experience.

Raised in a close-knit family, he was inspired early on by his father, dermatologist George Kihiczak, MD, his mother, who helped run the family dermatology practice, and his sisters, including dermatologist Nadia Kihiczak, MD. Their example sparked his interest in skin health and long-term patient relationships.

Education & Training

Dr. Kihiczak graduated from Princeton University, earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, completed his internal medicine internship at Yale School of Medicine, and his dermatology residency at Rutgers Medical School before entering private practice in New York City.

Teaching & Faculty Roles

He serves on the faculty of NYU Grossman School of Medicine and is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU Langone Health. He also teaches dermatology residents at the New York Veterans Affairs hospital, helping to train the next generation of dermatologists.

Professional Affiliations

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Contact Dermatitis Society, reflecting his commitment to staying current with the latest advances in medical, surgical, and cosmetic skin care.

Philosophy of Care

In his practice, every visit is with Dr. Kihiczak—never a physician extender. He believes in building long-term relationships, listening carefully, and tailoring treatment plans to each patient's goals. Patients receive first-class care in a warm, welcoming environment.

Dr. Kihiczak provides care for patients of all ages and all skin types and tones, from routine skin checks to complex medical conditions.

Services

Comprehensive dermatology care for patients of all ages, from routine skin checks to advanced cosmetic treatments.

Medical Dermatology

Dr. Kihiczak offers comprehensive care for all skin, hair, and nail conditions, creating practical treatment plans for every age.

Conditions Treated

  • Acne and acne scarring
  • Rosacea and facial redness
  • Eczema and atopic dermatitis
  • Psoriasis and other inflammatory rashes
  • Warts and benign growths
  • Nail disorders
  • Hair thinning and hair loss
  • Sun damage and photoaging
  • Other common and complex skin conditions

If you have a concern about your skin, hair, or nails, Dr. Kihiczak will evaluate it thoughtfully and explain your options clearly.

Surgical Dermatology

Early detection and appropriate treatment of skin cancer are central to Dr. Kihiczak's practice. He performs a variety of in-office surgical procedures in a careful, precise manner with an eye toward both medical outcomes and cosmetic appearance.

Procedures

  • Full-body skin examinations and skin cancer screening
  • Biopsies of suspicious moles and lesions
  • Surgical excision of skin cancers and atypical moles
  • Removal of benign growths such as cysts, lipomas, and other lesions

Mohs surgery is not performed in this office; when Mohs is the best option, Dr. Kihiczak refers patients to trusted Mohs surgeons and coordinates closely on their care.

Cosmetic Dermatology

Cosmetic treatments are approached with subtlety and restraint. Dr. Kihiczak focuses on natural-looking, elegant results that help patients look refreshed and well-rested, never "overdone."

Neuromodulators

Treatments such as Botox can soften expression lines on the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes.

Dermal Fillers

Fillers can gently restore volume, enhance facial contours, and improve the appearance of deeper folds.

Lasers & Light Therapy

A range of laser and light-based technologies to address sun spots, redness, broken capillaries, fine lines, and textural changes.

During a cosmetic consultation, Dr. Kihiczak takes time to understand what you hope to achieve and designs a plan that respects your features and unique aesthetic.

Allergy & Patch Testing

As a fellow of the American Contact Dermatitis Society, Dr. Kihiczak has particular expertise in allergic contact dermatitis and patch testing.

Patch testing helps identify substances—such as ingredients in personal care products, fragrances, metals, or workplace exposures—that may be triggering recurrent rashes or eczema. Small amounts of potential allergens are placed on the skin and evaluated over time to pinpoint which substances you should avoid.

If you have a persistent or unexplained rash, patch testing may provide clarity and a path to long-term relief.
